Blanche Rheaume LaFrance

Vergennes - Born Blanche Farnsworth in Springfield, Mass., on Nov. 20, 1928, Blanche Rheaume LaFrance passed away peacefully at age 81 in her home in Vergennes on Dec. 22, 2009.

    She is survived by her children and their spouses, Linda McWilliams from Elwood, Ind., Lucinda and Bob Perkins of Ticonderoga, N.Y., Reginald Joseph II and Laura Rheaume of San Diego, Calif., David and Julie Rheaume of Panton, and Ann Rheaume of Mendon.  Blanche is also survived by her brother Willis Farnsworth and sister Evelyn Winkler.  Cherished grandchildren include Jospeh “JJ” Rheaume III, Jennifer Roe, Chrystal Breaux, and Brandi, Wendy, Pat, Sandy and Bobbi Perkins.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Rheaume I, her daughter Jan Rheaume and two grandsons, Daniel Jacob Rheaume and Jay Breaux.

    Blanche lived most of her life in the Vergennes area.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and cherished time spent with over 100 pen pals.

    A memorial service was held on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at Brown-McClay Funeral Home at South Maple St. in Vergennes.
