St. Mary’s School, Middlebury, Vermont, has recently received accreditation from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). This process required two-years of intensive preparation, culminating with the accreditation team visiting last March.

In preparation for NEASC’s visit, the school community conducted intensive self-reflection exercises and then took necessary steps for improvement. The school was commended in the report for this as well as for the following: their exceptional, professional, and highly motivated faculty, the faculty and administration’s commitment to a strong academic program, and the ability to provide a well-rounded program with limited resources.

St. Mary’s will complete both a two-year and a five-year interim evaluation report, which will verify that the school is working on their multi-year plan based upon their mission and that they are continuing to improve upon building maintenance. A NEASC team will revisit St. Mary’s in 2019.
