Hubert S. Atkins

Ferrisburgh - Hubert S. Atkins, 74 passed away Saturday August 15, 2009 at Fletcher Allen Healthcare in Burlington.

    He was born March 12, 1935 in Ferrisburgh the son of John and Mildred (Decoursey) Atkins.

    He was a avid Red Sox fan, and playing WiWi Bowling. He was always happy and cheerful and he could see the best in everything and everyone. True and loyal friend and would help his neighbors, friends, and family.

    Hubert is survived by his wife Linda Atkins of Ferrisburgh; a daughter Lisa Morrison Stockwell of Ferrisburgh; a son Patrick Morrison of Maine; two grandsons Christopher and J.T.; a brother Arland Atkins of Ferrisburgh; special nephew Eldon Atkins, special niece Candie Atkins, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

    The family would like to thank the staff at Addison County Home Health & Hospice for their wonderful care.

    A graveside service was held on Tuesday August 18th at North Ferrisburgh Cemetery. There were no public calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Addison County Home Health & Hospice PO Box 754, Middlebury, VT 05753. Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes will be in charge of arrangements.
