Vermont State Swim Association Championships Held In White River Junction

The Middlebury Girls 11-12 200 Medley Relay team won their heat and placed 8th overall at the Vermont Swim Association Championship meet held at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White River Junction. Middlebury placed 2nd in Division II and pulled in an impressive 5th place overall finish with 38 swimmers competing. The Valley Voice’s very own Courtney (CC) White competed in the Vermont Swim Association Championship on August 1st and 2nd in White River Junction. She is pictured above competing in the 100 IM, 50 Butterfly, 50 Breast and 50 Freestyle. CC also competed in the 200 Medley Relay and the 200 Freestyle Relay. She is also pictured with Coach Tyler McGuire. Out of the 80 swimmers on the Middlebury team 38 went on to compete at the championship meet. Middlebury placed 5th overall out of 21 teams, the highest they have ever placed! Congratulations to all of the swimmers and coaches. The Middlebury Aquatic Club is a year round swim team always looking for new swimmers to participate. The team practices at the Middlebury Town Pool in the summer and at Middlebury College during the winter months.
