Suzanne Elinor (Wood) Kuehn

Waltham-Suzanne Elinor (Wood) Kuehn went to be with the Lord on July 14, 2009 after a battle with C.O.P.D.

    She was born December 19, 1937 to Dr. and Mrs. Ledger Wood in Albany, NY.

    She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Walter Kuehn and her 4 children, Gregory, Walter (Wayne), Catherine and Rebecca.  She also has 8 grandchildren.

    Suzanne (Susie) enjoyed bridge, garden club, red hat club, shopping, eating out and her church.  She mostly enjoyed  being social.  Susie would travel with her friends for long weekends.  She also traveled and lived in Germany and Turkey with her family.  She loved her cats.

      The funeral was held at Victory Baptist Church in Waltham,  on Friday, July 17 2009 at 11:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Addison County Home Health and Hospice Care PO Box 754, Middlebury, VT 05753.

Lyle M. Shepard

Starksboro- Lyle M. Shepard 88 passed away in the loving arms of his wife and family at his home in Starksboro.

            He was born March 31, 1921 in Starksboro the son of the late Percy and Mildred Tarte Shepard.

            He attended school in Starksboro. He served in US Army in WWII in England, France, Belgium and Germany. He married the love of his life Joyce Beshaw March 1, 1947. He held several jobs and retired from Burlington Electric Light Co. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Hinesburg, and Bristol American Legion Post #19. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Lyle enjoyed having breakfast with his many special friends every morning. His hobbies were hunting, gardening, and spending many hours working on projects in his barn.

            Lyle is survived by his wife of 62 wonderful years Joyce Shepard of Starksboro; three children, Allen and his wife Mary of Williston; Stanley of Starksboro; Jeffrey and fiance’ Laurie Hawkins of New Haven; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; three sisters Vivian Provost of Swanton; Vera Cota of Starksboro; Ruthena Zeno of Starksboro; a brother Lloyd Shepard and wife Louise of Williston; four sisters in law, Rollande Shepard, Irene Beshaw, Hazel Langlois, Theresa Mumlay; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased two brothers, Floyd and Donald, grandson Andrew Shepard.

            A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Monday July 20th at St. Jude Catholic Church in Hinesburg. Interment will be in Green Mount Cemetery in Starksboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Addison County Home Health & Hospice, PO Box 754, Middlebury, VT 05753, or American Cancer Society, 121 Connor Way, Williston, VT 05495. Brown - McClay Funeral Home in Bristol will be in charge of arrangements.
