Raymond O. Bourdeau

Salisbury - Raymond O. Bourdeau, 75, died Friday evening June 5, 2009 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington after a long illness.

   He was born September 28, 1933 in Orwell, the son of Late Oscar & Dorothy (Beeman) Bourdeau. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Shoreham High School.  

   Raymond married the love of his life Leona Mitchell on June 28, 1952 in Brandon.

   He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Middlebury, a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a former member of the East Middlebury Fire Department having served 15 yrs.

   He was formerly employed as the sales Manager for Foster Motor for 37 Yrs .

   Raymond was an avid hunter, a great car salesman and enjoyed going to garage sales, auctions, antiquing, snowmobiling, spending fourteen winters in Fort Myers Florida until his failing health would not let him travel. He especially enjoyed family get-togethers and cookouts.

   Survivors include his wife Leona (Mitchell) Bourdeau, of Salisbury, his son, Rodney Bourdeau & his wife Brenda, of Middlebury, his daughter, Linda Bourdeau, of Stephenville, TX, by his sister Nance Munson, of Panton, by his three grandchildren, Jared Bourdeau & his fiancé Amber Frazier, of Salisbury, Katie Downs & her fiancé Jason Davis, of Pittsford and Morgan Downs, of Stephenville, TX, by his two step-grandchildren, Stephen Norris & his wife Jessy, of Bridport and Laura Peck & her husband Mike, of Speculator, NY, by his five great-grandchildren and  numerous niece’s & Nephew’s.

   Funeral Services were held on Wednesday June 10, 2009 at 11 Am at the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home. The Rev. Andre Houle Will Officiate.

   Burial will follow in Prospect Cemetery in East Middlebury.

   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Addison County Home Health @ P.O. Box 754 Middlebury, VT 05753

   Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sanderson-Ducharme Funeral Home.

Stanton R. Chandler

New Haven-Stanton R. Chandler, 89 passed away Saturday June 6, 2009 at his home in New Haven with his daughter by his side.

      He was born March 12, 1920 in Bridport the son Willard and Lodetta (Miller) Chandler.

      He served in US Army as a corporal from 1942-1946 during WWII in Pacific Theatre. He married Viola Mae Booska in January 1951 then she predeceased him April 1967, and then he remarried Mildred E. Stokes in June 1969. He retired from Agway after 27 years.

     Stanton is survivd by eight children, David and Cynthia Chandler of Queensbury, NY; Gary, Carol, Kirk, and Jay Chandler all of Middlebury; Lori Chandler and Doug of New Haven;  Kris Chandler of Bridport; Brian Chandler of Jericho; Step son Alan and Jackie Stokes of Westport, NY; seven grandchildren; a great granddaughter; his cat Abraham; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two grandchildren Keith and Edwin Chandler, two brothers and three sisters.

     A memorial service was held. on Thursday June 11th at New Haven Congregational Church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol. There will be no public calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Addison County Home Health & Hospice, PO Box 754, Middlebury, VT 05753. Brown - McClay Funeral Home in Bristol will be in charge of arrangements.

Cora L. Billado

Hinesburg-Cora L. Billado, 89 passed away Sunday June 7, 2009 at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home in Burlington.

   She was born July 8, 1919 in Charlotte the daughter of George and Mamie (Bell) Martin.
She married Arthur William Billado July 17, 1935 and he predeceased her July 17, 1966. She enjoyed being with family and friends, going to senior dinners, she enjoyed life in general.
Cora is survived by four children Arthur Billado and companion Madeline of New Russia, NY; Wayne Billado and wife Connie of Mountain Home, Arkansas; James and Gerry Billado of Meridan, CT; Rose LaBonte of Fairfield, VT ; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two sisters in law; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son, seven siblings, a daughter in law.

   Funeral services were held 1 p.m. on Wednesday June 10th at Hinesburg United Church. Interment will be in Hinesburg Village Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to charity of ones choice. Brown - McClay Funeral Home in Bristol will be in charge of arrangements.

Frederick “Chuck” Baser

Bristol- Frederick “Chuck” Baser, 31 died suddenly of natural causes Saturday June 6, 2009 at his home in Bristol.

    He was born September 17, 1977 in Middlebury the son of Frederick and Marian Baser.

    He graduated from Mt. Abraham High School and Colgate University where he sang with Colgate 13. Chuck was a member of Bristol Conservation Commission and was active in restoration of Sycamore Park. Chuck loved the outdoors and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, jack jumping, and boating. He was a skilled woodworker and nothing pleased him more than a beautiful piece of wood. Chuck touched many lives in small and profound ways.

    Chuck is survived by his parents, and his brothers, Nicholas Baser and his wife Janel of Phillips, Maine; Gregory Baser and his fiancé Nicole of Salt Lake City, Utah; his niece and nephew Adelaide and Silas Baser, who brought him much joy; grandparents Frederick and Nettie Baser and also Gertrude Burke; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends who loved him and will miss him very much. Predeceased by his maternal grandfather Gerald Burke and his aunt and uncle Kathryn and Ned Henderickson.

    A mass of Christian burial was celebrated 1. on Thursday June 11th at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Bristol. Interment will be in Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery in Bristol.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Town of Bristol c/o Conservation Commission, PO Box 249, Bristol, VT 05443.
