Forecast for 2009: Zodiac Signs

    Aries: ruled by Mars, as the New Year begins Mars is squaring your Sun sign; you will certainly be driven to accomplish your goals and make decisions but it could be an irrating time with lots of interuptions.  Major decisions will be made between April 23 and May 31 this year.  The next minor cycle of action starts August 26 to October 16.  Overall, this year your focus should be on partnerships.  If you start a business you should do it with a partner.  If you are an employee you should become a team player.  Also, allow your creativity to take center stage.  If involved in a love relationship you will work on building a better life.  If you are looking for love make it a point get out and about because love is in the air!  

    Taurus: ruled by Venus, as you begin the New Year expect the first three weeks to offer a chance to make big changes in your career life.  The Sun, Mars and Pluto are in Capricorn trining your Sun along with Saturn in Virgo creating a tremendous opportunity for good luck and financial gain.  You may need to play it cool; February 5 to March 14; many situations will demand your attention and you may need to accept some unusal ideas to make things happen.  The next big cycle to make career or finanical changes would be June 1 to July 11.  You may find yourself going back and forth over some issue that you need to put to rest October 17 all the way to the end of the year.  Either way this year will have you focusing more on stability and career.

    Gemini:  ruled by Mercury you will be focusing on what you want to create for yourself this year.  With hard driving Saturn squaring your Sun in your solar third house you will need to put some serious thought towards your communication; you may think about furthering your studies by going back to school.  You also may discover that you need a work where your communicative skills can be put to use.  There may be delays through out the year due to Saturn especially when Mars aspects your Sun; March 15 to April 21 may create unforseen circumstances; July 12 to August 25 could be a time when you can take a stand and make important decisions that really resonate with your desires.   

   Cancer: ruled by the Moon and with Pluto opposing your Sun you may find yourself on an emotional roller coaster this year.  The key to success this year is to recognizing that you may need to do some letting go.  Don’t hang on to bad situations or experiences and learn to start expressing your feelings more.  Since you are more focused on your relationships with others than your own needs you can be easily be drawn into difficult situations; this year avoid overdoing it.  If you don’t you could find yourself missing out on important opportunities to make some big changes in your life.  With Pluto transiting your Solar 10 house you need to put all your attention on career.  As the year begins you could experience rewards connected to career from January 1 to February 4 be assertive.  August 26 to October 16 offers a chance to get in greater touch with your personal needs and a possible opportunity to move.

    Leo: ruled by Sun you will be strongly influenced by Jupiter this year.  As Jupiter opposes your Sun in your solar 11 house you will be feeling especially drawn to others in need this year.  You may find yourself wanting to help others in a financial way although in some situations this may help you will need to be careful especially if you were born between August 11 thru 22 because your judgement may not be as good as usual since you are still feeling the effect of Neptune in Aquarius.  Talk to those close to you before taking financial action.  For all Leo’s this is also a great year to manifest your hopes and wishes.  Take time to contemplate what you want your life to look like and then take action to make it happen.  Opportunities to act on your wishes are great February 5 to March 14; also focus on talents and finances June 1 to July 11; you may find yourself dealing with some confusing situations from October 16 to the end of December; don’t rush to make decisions during this time.

    Virgo: ruled by Mercury you are someone that uses your intellect in all situations and this year emphasizes a greater determination to work harder than usual to attain your career goals.  Saturn still takes center stage in your life this year until October 29.  Despites setback in the past year you are feeling more directed than ever.  As the New Year begins you will be feeling the fruits of your labor starting to manifest.  Mars trining your Sun will help you to take more direct action so all of January is a great time for actions related to finances and work.  You enter a reward cycle March 9 to April 22; so focus on what is important to you.  Mars enters your solar third house July 12 thru August 25 at this time short trips for vacation or seeing siblings are favored.

    Libra: ruled by Venus you will be strongly influenced by Jupiter and Pluto this year; which will be focued on growth and learning on all levels.  New challenges may surface on all sides from your family, friends, work and community.  You will be realizing that you must look more closely at your everyday life now.  You will feel as the year progresses that what you are doing for a career right now is not meeting your expectations and it would be a great time to start thinking about what type of career would work for you.  The advent of the New Year could start off with lots of stress as authority figures seem to loom large and expect the impossible this cycle ends February 5.  You will enter into a reward cycle April 23 to May 31 take action relating to your own interests during this time.  Put others first August 26 to October 15.    

    Scorpio: ruled by Pluto you are a deep person that few people know well.  This year will be filled with surprises as Jupiter and Uranus team up to bring change into your life.  As with all surprise some parts are really great and others difficult.  You need time to think this year before taking action.  It is a year filled with twists and turns so work hard and put your priorities in order.  You will need to clear away situations in your life that are no longer working for you.  When you do you might find that a difficult set of circumstances comes to an end and you can move on to create your dream life.  Get plenty of rest.  Since Jupiter is squaring your Sun all year you need to be careful on how you invest and spend money especially from January 6 to February 4 and again June 1 to July 11 and again from October 16 to December 31.  

    Sagittarius: ruled by Jupiter; you are someone who doesn’t necessary put lots of value on money but this year Saturn in Virgo squaring your Sun will remind you that practical concerns are important.  Focus on activities, people and work that excites you as well as fills your pockets.  You will find yourself clearing your life of impractical concerns at least until October 29 of this year.  If you do place your focus on what really works rather than escaping you will find that your life ends up on a better note than last year.  Take the opportunity to reach out to people that are on a similar wavelength as yours.  Think carefully before taking action March 15 to April 22 as Mars enters your solar 12 house; rewards come your way July 5 to August 26 communicate carefully.  

   Capricorn: ruled by Saturn and a serious calm resolve you seem to be unaffected by the economic landscape on the surface.  Your drive will continue to mount as Pluto creates even more intensity and drive to get to the top of the heap.  Successes will continue to come your way because you work extremely hard in difficult circumstances to succeed.  But you will have to work twice as hard this year using time and energy to manifest what you did last year.  Make sure you take breaks from work which can seem quite stressful; spend time with family and friends; take care of your body with exercise and massage.  At the start of the New Year you can feel overwhelmed by expectations this cycle ends February 5; personal needs will take a priority April 23 to May 31; career goes into a rewarding cycle August 1 to October 15 ask for what you want!

    Aquarius: ruled by Uranus you will be influenced by Jupiter as it conjuncts your Sun and enlivens your ruling planet, Uranus.  Aquarius think outside the box which makes them immune to world panic.  You will truly expand this prespective in 2009 as opportunities manifest through your efforts to be more friendly and expansive.  You will find yourself getting more in touch with your feelings and this is a great thing for an intellect to do.  Conversations of all kinds dominate this year and have a profound effect on yourself and others as well.  February 1 to March 14 has Mercury, Mars and Jupiter teaming up to conjunct your Sun; make decisions of a personal nature focusing on your hopes and wishes; deal with practical concerns June 1 to July 11; follow your heart October 16 to the end of December.

    Pisces: ruled by Neptune and as the year begins Venus in Pisces and Saturn in Virgo team up to dominate your love life now as you look ahead to the future.  You will still be asking yourself and others important questions about what makes you happy.  Life may have its ups and downs due to Uranus in Pisces and Saturn in Virgo.  One minute things are stable and consistent the next unexpected and unstable.  But these are just momentary setbacks that won’t last.  It is important for you to maintain your balance and if you do you will find that 2009 can be a good year for you.  Expect a long term wish to finally come true this year; trust and speak your mind.  You may feel things intently March 14 to April 23 not a great time to make decisions; communications with family are highlighted July 12 to August 25.
