Rodney W. Brace

Vergennes - Rodney W. Brace, 56, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 05, 2008 at the V. A. Hospital in White River Jct. following a short illness, surrounded by this family.

   Born July 15, 1952 in Middlebury the son of Lester and Myona (Ayers) Brace.

   Besides his parents He is survived by one daughter Nichole, one son Tyler, three brothers, Stephen, Terry and his fiancé Stephanie, Kelly and his wife Amy. One sister Kathy and her husband Steve McGinnis. Four nephews.

   Rod is predeceased by one brother Michael in 1982.

   Rod served in Vietnam, and lived in Florida for 25 years, employed in the construction business.

   In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hospice at the VA Medial Center, 215 North Main Street, White River Jct. Vermont 05009-0119

Elsie Mae (Beers) Delphia

Bridport- Elsie Mae (Beers) Delphia, 84, died on Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at Porter Hospital in Middlebury.

    Elsie was born in Granville, NY on April 10, 1924, the daughter of Thelma (Collins) and Thomas Beers.

   She was predeceased by her husband Ernest in 2000, her son Wayne, and brothers Thomas Beers and Raymond Mohan.

      Survivors include three children, Julie and husband Robin Jackman of Waltham, VT, Debra Gevry and husband Bill Danyow, of Addison, VT, and David Delphia and wife Val of Vergennes, VT; seven grandchildren, Heather Rigby, Brooke Gevry, Hillary Devine, Ingrid Gevry, Abigail Ringer, Asa Provencher, and Christopher Gevey; great grandchildren Jacob Brinkman, Kaleb Gorton, Lijah Rigby, Babe Rigby, Skyler Tavis, Cyrus Devine, Wilder Devine, Willem Ringer, Libby Ringer and Octavia Devine; her siblings, Thelma Denett , Verna Rosenberg, Gene LaPlante, and Katherine Wade.

   There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday November 10th at Victory Baptist Church, Route 7, Waltham with Pastor Tim Taylor officiating. Interment at Prospect Cemetery in Vergennes will be held at the convenience of the family.

Charlene Anne Zubaty

Bristol, VT/ Jasper, FL- Charlene Anne Zubaty, 62 passed away Tuesday November 4, 2008 at her home in Jasper, FL surrounded by her family.

      She was born March 31, 1946 in Burlington the daughter of Harold and Shirley (DeGuise) Boyer.

       Charlene is survived by her husband Mike Zubaty of Jasper, FL.; five children, Robert Miller of Bristol; Brenda Vaughn of Bristol; Bryan Miller of Bristol; William Miller of Cambridge; Bonnie Sweeney of Fairfax; two step children, Michael Zubaty Jr. of Camache, Iowa; Laurie Anderson of Ohio; eighteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five brothers, Harold Boyer of Middlebury; Ricky Boyer of St. Albans; Mickey Boyer of Swanton; Michael Boyer of Williston; David Boyer of Winooski; two sisters, Diane Papesca of Jasper, FL; Karen Cox of Bristol; a half sister, Namoni Boyer of St. George; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her daughter Cheryl Miller Bluma.

     A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Monday November 10th at St Ambrose Catholic Church in Bristol. Interment will be in Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery in Bristol. Friends may call at Brown McClay Funeral Home in Bristol on Saturday November 8th from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday November 9th 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In a lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Haven Hospice, 6037 US Hwy 90 West, Lake City, Florida 32055.
