Rachel M. Burnett

Vergennes- Rachel M. Burnett, 91 passed away on Tuesday August 19, 2008 at Helen Porter Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury.

   She was born November 2, 1916 in Ferrisburgh the daughter of Philip and Ellen (Porter) Ryder.

   Rachel is survived by her 2 daughters, Sandra Brace of Panton and Janice Wanzer of Ohio; a sister Marjorie Bushey of Middlebury and a brother William Ryder of Ferrisburgh; a very special grandson Richard Burnett and wife Cindy of Vergennes; five grandchildren, Mark Brace of Ferrisburgh, Richard Brace Jr. of Morrisville, Polly Dunham and her husband Norman of Vergennes, Michelle Wanzer of Ohio, and Chad Burnett of New York; two great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Charlie, a son David, five sisters, a brother, a son in law, and two granddaughters.

   A graveside service was held  on Friday August 22nd at Prospect Cemetery in Vergennes.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Helen Porter Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, 30 Porter Drive, Middlebury, VT 05753.
