Rheal J. LaFleche

Vergennes - Rhea] J. LaFleche, 73 passed away peacefully Tuesday June 24, 2008 at Fletcher Allen Healthcare in Burlington surrounded by his family.

He was born November 11, 1934 in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, the son of Albert and Alphonsine (LaPlante) LaFleche.

He served in Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post #14 in Vergennes, VFW Post # 7823 in Middlebury, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3801 in Vergennes.

Rheal is survived by the mother of his children, Shirley Jean LaFleche of Mineville, NY; three children, David LaFleche and his wife Cindy of Moriah, NY; Diane LaFleche of Mineville. NY; Lisa Sargent and husband Donnie of S. Lincoln; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers. Aurele LaFleche and companion Carolyn of Ripton; Rejean LaFleche Sr. of Florida; Lionel LaFleche and wife Laura of Panton; two sisters, Ramonde Rochon and husband Marcel of Florida; Giselle LaFleche of Bristol; sister-in-law Jean LaFleche of Ferrisburgh; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his second wife Shirley A. LeFleche.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday July 5th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes. Interment will be in St. Peters Cemetery in Vergennes. Friends may call at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes on Saturday July 5th from 10 a.m. up to hour of the funeral. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Heart Association, 434 Hurricane Lane, Williston, VT 05495.
