Sue Douglas welcomes visitors and many life long friends to Douglas Orchards in Shoreham on Friday morning June 20th 2008. The first weekend of summer brought out many strawberry customers in spite of intermittent showers near the fields. Sue says this year’s crop is excellent and business has been brisk. This is the 110th strawberry season at Douglas Orchards.

Vermont Adult Learning celebrated its 2008 graduates at a ceremony last week at Middlebury College's Kirk Alumni Center. Graduates earned their GED of high school diploma through the Vermont Adult Diploma Program or High School Completion Program.
