Wayne A. Palmer

 

Charlotte - Wayne A. Palmer, 77, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.

    He was born on December 8, 1930 in Starksboro the son of George and Illa (Morrill) Palmer.

    Wayne was employed at Henry Carse Farms in Hinesburg for 58 years.

     He is survived by long time companion May Loyer of Charlotte, five children, David Palmer and his wife Charlene of Hinesburg, June Palmer and friend Arthur Thomas of Charlotte, Theresa Paya and her husband Donald of Hinesburg, Jeff Palmer and friend Terryann Martin of South Starksboro, Bradley Palmer and friend Michelle of  South Starksboro, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two brothers Larry Reynolds of Colchester, Dennis Reynolds of Penn Yan, NY. three sisters, Betty Patterson of Lincoln, Shirley Lattrell of CT. Sally Hall of CT several nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 10 at 11a.m. at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment will be in Grand View Cemetery in Charlotte. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 10a.m. until time of services.

Lois A. Rivait

Vergennes-Lois A. Rivait, 78, died Friday, June 6, 2008, at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury.

   She was born on February 4, 1930 in Starksboro the daughter of Morton and Ethel (Taft) Hill.

   Lois was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Vergennes. She had a love of knitting and gardening.

   Lois was predeceased by her husband Charles Rivait on May 9, 1980.

   She is survived by five children, Stephen and Nancy Rivait of Ferrisburgh, Donald and Peggy Rivait of Shoreham, Alvin and Tammy Rivait of West Addison, Susan Rivait and Mark Rivait both of Vergennes. Nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, brother Wallace Hill of Starksboro, two sisters Winoa Mitchell of Burlington, Esther Trudeau of Bristol, several nieces and nephews. Lois was predeceased by three brothers and five sisters.

   Funeral services will be held Monday, June 9 at 10a.m. at the Victory Baptist Church in Vergennes. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Vergennes. Friends may call at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 434 Hurricane Lane Williston, VT 05495.
