Wesley Robert Ambrose

Brandon - Wesley Robert Ambrose, age 69 passed away Wednesday April 30, 2008 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.  He was born in Middlebury, VT April 4, 1939 the son of Robert and Esther A. (Supernois) Ambrose.   Wesley attended schools in Salisbury and  graduated from Middlebury High School.
Mr. Ambrose had worked as a Proof Reader at the Standard Register Company in Middlebury for over 28 years. Wesley was a Civil War Historian and his other interest included Railroads, Photography and Music. Wesley was a Charter member of the Living Water Assembly of God Church in 1992. Her served the church as Treasurer and was a member of the Board of Directors.   Wesley was also a member of the Churches
Men’s Ministry Group and served as the Director of the Men’s Ministry for area churches in Brandon.

    Wesley is survived by  his Aunt whom he helped care for, Pat Whitney of Brandon, his 3 nephews, Jerry McCray, Brandon, Randy McCray of Portland, Maine and Gene McCray of St. Albans; his Half Sister, Wanda Bishop of Leicester, his Step-Brother, George McCray of Salisbury. Also surviving are many Great Nieces & Nephews.  He is predeceased by his parents and a step-brother, Gordon McCray.

    Funeral Services were held on Saturday May 3rd at the Leicester Church of the Nazarene. Officiating was  The Rev. Lewis Butterfield, Pastor of the Living Water Assembly of God Church, Forestdale, co-officiant was the Rev. Larry Keiser, Pastor of the Nazarene Church.   Graveside Committal services and burial followed in West Salisbury Cemetery. A reception followed in the Church fellowship hall.
