Beth Diamond Receives 2008 Kimberly Krans Women Who Change The World Award

    WomenSafe has announced Beth Diamond as the 2008 recipient of the Kimberly Krans Women Who Change the World Award. This award is presented annually to a woman in Addison County and Rochester whose outstanding work and achievements have furthered the safety of women and children in our community. It is named after Kimberly Krans, a longtime supporter and dear friend of the WomenSafe community.

    Beth gives her all to make this world a better place for the women and children of our community. She has been working for many years with the Addison County Crop Walk, After Dark Music Series, Festival on the Green, Vermont Freedom to Marry Task Force, Addison County Court Diversion, Habitat for Humanity, and Middlebury Community Thanksgiving Dinner. Additionally, Beth has been a reading mentor at Mary Hogan School, a WomenSafe volunteer since 2001 and a judge for the Vermont’s Odyssey of the Mind. Currently, Beth is the Certified Resource Specialist for Vermont 2-1-1. Beth exemplifies the spirit of Kimberly Krans as a tireless, effective and positive agent of change.

    The award ceremony is held in March as part of National Women’s History Month. Please join us on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 from 5-6:30pm at the United Methodist Church in Middlebury to help us honor and celebrate Beth’s work and tremendous impact on the community.
