Obituaries 1-1-08 George D. BennettFerrisburgh- George D. Bennett, 68 passed away Friday December 14, 2007 at Vermont Respite House in Williston. He was born October 18, 1939 in Scarborough, Maine the son of Harold and Ruth Morrison Bennett. He was a member of Masonic Lodge in Scarborough, Maine. He also past served as a town lister and school board member of St. George. George is survived by his children, Kerri Bennett of New York City, NY; James Bennett of Waltham; Mindy Bennett of Burlington; two grandchildren, Jackson and Elizabeth; a brother and sister; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Wednesday December 19th at Vergennes United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Gage Cemetery in Ferrisburgh. There will be no public calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vermont Respite House 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495. James Robert HuskVergennes - James Robert Husk, 66 passed away Wednesday December 19, 2007 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. He was born February 26, 1941 in Ferrisburgh the son of Florence Ann Husk. He was a member of Vermont Tractor Pullers Association in New Haven, he loved his Farmall Tractors. James is survived by his life partner, Carol Morris of Vergennes; two brothers Pete and Loretta Hawkins of Ferrisburgh; Chet and Connie Hawkins of Ferrisburgh; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by his son Patrick Husk. In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made to Vergennes Area Rescue Squad PO Box 11 Vergennes, VT 05491.
