Vergennes Holiday Stroll Saturday, December 1st

7:30-10am:    Breakfast with Santa at VUHS Cafeteria - adults $6, under 10 is $4, under 3 free; info: 759-2922. Come & eat breakfast with Santa & make a craft in his workshop! Sponsored by students and Friends of Music                     
 9:30am-5:30pm:  Stores open for Holiday Shopping!  
10am-5pm:  Winter Wonderland & Festival of Wreaths Silent Auction at Vergennes Opera House (bidding ends at 4pm) - to benefit the Champlain Valley Christian School & Vergennes Opera House
10am-2pm:  Bixby Library Open House and annual Silent Auction of Holiday Baskets donated by local businesses & patrons (bidding ends at 1:45 - winning bids announced at 2pm) bring donations to hang on the “Mitten & Sock” tree!
10:30am:  Ring in the Holiday Stroll by joining Santa and his elves strolling from the Vergennes Opera House to the Bixby Library-bring bells to ring & a voice to sing!  Bring an ornament you made to hang on the Children's Holiday Tree; we will decorate it on our Stroll, then the tree will be displayed at Jackman Fuels
10:45am:  Santa Claus reads “Twas the Night Before Christmas” at the Bixby Library
11am-noon:  Jon Gailmor, singer/songwriter at Bixby Library - due to limited space, free tickets required - 877- 2211
12:30:  Bixby Library - refreshments by the ladies of the Vergennes Community Forum
1:00-1:30pm:   Bixby Library - Maiden Vermont - a cappella group
1-2pm:  Historical Tales with Father Time - St. Paul's Episcopal Church Parish Hall (Ramp Accessible) Listen or share memories & photos of Christmases past (conversation style)
2:00-4:30pm:  Northlands Job Corps students will be serving hot drinks and snacks at the Vergennes Opera House
2:30pm:  Addison County Gospel Choir at Vergennes Opera House
2:30-4:30pm:  Visit Santa in a Winter Wonderland at Vergennes Opera House - Pictures with Santa available @ $1 each
2:30-4:30pm:  Hands painted by Grandma Phyllis while you wait your turn with Santa at Vergennes Opera House
3-4pm:  Gingerbread cookie decorating for children of all ages - upstairs at Deirdre Counter Real Estate (229 Main St. ste.2A)
4:45pm:  S. D. Ireland Companies lighted cement mixer truck!
5:00pm:  Lighting of City Park & Memory Tree with Mayor Michael Daniels, caroling by Addison County Gospel Choir
