LtoR  Firefighters from Bristol, New Haven and Lincoln responded to a fire at Beck's Alley Antiques on Main Street in Bristol shortly after 6:20 a.m Friday, Nov 2, 2007.  According to eye-witnesses the building was fully involved in flames particularly the lower floor when fire fighters arrived. Some of the inventory was saved but most of it was destroyed in the blaze.  Firefighters were seen examining the charred interior of the building after successfully extinguishing the blaze and saving the main frame of the building.  Occupants were evacuated from a nearby apartment building as firefighters contained the blaze from getting out of control and spreading to nearby structures.  “They did a great job stopping the fire from spreading,” one Bristol resident said as he watched the clean-up operation along with several groups of townspeople along Bristol's main street sidewalks.  A cause for the fire was still being determined at press time.
