Richard H. Dodge

Bridport - Richard H. Dodge, 63, passed away at home in Bridport, VT on September 30, 2007, from a long battle with cancer.

   He was born November 23, 1943, in South Royalton, VT, the son of George M. Dodge and Arlene C. Dodge.

   Survivors include his wife, Joanne T. Dodge of Bridport, VT; daughter, Tammy Dodge of Derby, VT; brother, Theodore Dodge of Norfolk, VA; brother, Harry Dodge of South Royalton, VT; sister, Marie Huggins of Richmond, VA; twelve grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousin.

   Richard loved camping, boating, dancing, taking photographs and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of The Elks Club in Bellows falls, VT and The Moose Club in Claremont, NH. Before he got sick Richard was self-employed with SI Control Technologies.

   The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 13, at The Bridport Congregational Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Addison County Home Health and Hospice, PO Box 754, Middlebury, VT 05753.

Ronald L. Schroeder

Vergennes - Ronald L. Schroeder passed away peacefully October 5, 2007. Ronald was born in Vergennes on February 19, 1936 to Leigh and Merle Schroeder.

    He leaves behind is loving wife Helen (Perkins) Schroeder. His daughter Pamela Tucker, her husband Foster. His son Kipp Sorrell, his wife Marlene and Children. His son Leigh Schroeder. His daughter Shelly Eriksen, her husband Tom. He leaves behind his very special Granddaughter Audrey Tucker and Great Grandson Jayden Everrett. He also leaves behind his sister Carla, her husband Byron. His sister Anne Hodgdon, her husband Tom. He was predeceased by his brother Jerry Schroeder. Ronald also leaves behind many brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews who he cherished with all his heart. His family devotion, great sense of humor and love will be missed by all who knew him.

    Funeral services were held on Monday October 8th at Brown McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes. Interment was at North Ferrisburgh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vergennes Area Rescue Squad PO Box 11 Vergennes, VT 05491, or Vergennes Fire Department Vergennes, VT 05491.
