T.L.C. is key as members of a Stanley Steamer touring group display their cars at the Middlebury Inn on Thursday, August 16th 2007. Venting steam with an ear piercing blast and preparing for show in the parking lot was exciting. These wonderful old cars and their classic style and sound chuff, chuff, chuff, are an important part of American automotive history. One of the drivers explained how they heat the water. Stan said “the firebox used to be fired by wood or coal, but most of them have been converted to kerosene.”
