Obituaries 7-24-07 LUELLA SUMNER WASHBURNBRISTOL - Luella Sumner Washburn, 94 died Monday July 16, 2007 at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury. She was born May 24, 1913 in Sheldon, VT the daughter of Henry and Sarah Jones Cooke. She worked at Van Raalte for 27 years in Bristol and Middlebury, and she enjoyed the company of her family and friends. Predeceased by two husbands David Sumner in 1983 and Maxwell Washburn in 1993. Luella is survived by two children; Roberta Heffernan of Bristol; Larry Sumner of Jackson, Maine; 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two children Hartland and Robert Masse; a sister Ida Jennings; and three brothers Leslie, Albert, and Ralph Cooke. Funeral services were held on Thursday July 19th at Bristol Federated Church. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol.
