Area Students Makes Honors List at Champlain College

Tuesday May 22, 2007

The following students received honors for the Spring 2007 semester at Champlain College.

* Tracy McPhail of Middlebury,  has been named to the Dean's List and is majoring in International Business.  McPhail is the daughter of George and Karen McPhail of Middlebury.

* Beth Bannister of Vergennes,  has been named to the Dean's List and is majoring in Elementary Education.  Bannister is the daughter of David Bannister of Addison,

* Marie Fetters of Vergennes, has been named to the Dean's List and is majoring in Elementary Education.  Fetters is the daughter of Jeffery Fetters of Jacksonville, FL and Lori Fetters of Vergennes .

* Ashley Kuhns of Vergennes,  has been named to the Dean's List and is majoring in Hospitality Industry Management.  Kuhns is the daughter of William and Nancy Kuhns of Vergennes .

* Daniel Sorrell of Vergennes,) has been named to the Dean's List and is majoring in Computer Information Systems.  Sorrell is the son of Richard Sorrell of  and Lucy Ann Gomez of Vergennes .

* Rebecca Mayhew of Whiting, has been named to the Dean's List and is majoring in Elementary Education.  Mayhew is the daughter of Peter and Yvonne Mayhew of Whiting, .

    To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.5 and complete at least 12 credits of classwork during the semester.

   To be named to the Trustee's List, a student must achieve a semester grade point average of 4.0 and complete at least 12 credits of classwork during two consecutive semesters.

   To be named to the President's List, a student must achieve a semester grade point average of 4.0 and complete at least 12 credits of classwork during the semester.

   Located in Burlington, Vermont, Champlain College is a private, baccalaureate institution that offers professionally focused programs balanced by a strong core curriculum.
