KATHLEEN B. YORK

VERGENNES - Kathleen B. York 47 died unexpectedly Friday May 4, 2007 at her home in Vergennes. She was born March 3, 1960 in New York City, NY the daughter of Ronald and Bridget Farragher Hayes.

   Kathleen is survived by her twin sister Jacquelynn Farragher of Jenscen Beach, Florida; her soul mate Wesley York of Vergennes. Predeceased by her brothers Patrick and Michael.

   A memorial service was held on Thursday May 10th at Vergennes Congregational Church.

Theresa R. Miller

Panton - Theresa R. Miller, 64 died Wednesday May 9, 2007 at her home in Panton.
    She was born April 26, 1943 in Burlington the daughter of Henry and Germaine LeClair Turpin.

    She loved animals and she was a licensed Vermont Wildlife Rehabilitator for the past seven years.

    Theresa is survived by her husband Hilton(Mickey)Billings of Panton; two sons, Dale Miller and his wife Melody of Addison; Dana Miller and his wife Shelly of West Ferrisburgh; a granddaughter Sheana Miller; a brother Arthur J. Turpin of Connecticut; a sister Noella Jackson of West Ferrisburgh; two nieces Laura Marcelle of West Ferrisburgh; Lisa Shannon of Addison. Predeceased by a brother Paul Turpin.

   Interment will be at St. Peters Cemetery in Vergennes.

Daniel (Junior) Orvis

Bristol - Daniel (Junior) Orvis, 82 died Monday May 7, 2007 at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury.

    He was born January 24, 1925 in Middlesex, the son of Daniel and Myrtie May (Wright) Orvis.

    He worked at Johnson Lumber Mill and Polymers for many years. Also, he worked at Bristol Landfill. He enjoyed helping his friends and family, avid Red Sox Fan, telling stories, and enjoyed being friends with everyone.

    Predeceased by his wife Ollie (Smalley) Orvis in 1974.

    Daniel is survived by his sister Viola (Orvis) Dzielinski of Terryville, Conn.; several nieces, nephews, great & great great nieces and nephews; special friends Peter and Karen Wisell and their children; special thanks to Pat Milaezo his caregiver for the past five years. Predeceased by five brothers Milo, Clifford, Elmer, Marshall, Otto and a sister Velma.

    Funeral services were held on May 10th at Brown McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Addison County Home Health & Hospice Route 7 Middlebury, VT 05753.

Virginia Carstairs

Waltham - Virginia Carstairs, 91 died Friday May 11, 2007 at Helen Porter Health & Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury.

    She was born March 7, 1916 in Brooklyn, New York the daughter of Thomas and Harriet (Hearfield) Decker.

    She was a member of Vergennes United Methodist Church.

    Predeceased by her husband Robert Carstairs in 1992.

    Virginia is survived by two children Robert Carstairs and his wife Jude of Long Island, NY; Jennifer Yustin and her husband John of Waltham; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. Predeceased by a daughter Catherine Monaco in 1971.

    Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Tuesday May 15th at Vergennes United Methodist Church. Interment will be at a later date. Friends may call at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes on Monday May 14th from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Addison County Home Health & Hospice Route 7 Middlebury, VT 05753.
