MAHA Peewee A/B Team Wins New England Tier III Sectional

    The Middlebury Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA) Peewee A/B team capped a tremendous season by winning the New England Tier III Sectional

    Tournament held March 16-18 in Smithfield, Rhode Island. The team, made up of players born in 1994 and 1995, swept through the field of teams
sent by the other New England states without a loss, ultimately winning the title with a 3-1 win over Greenwich, Connecticut. The victory marked the first time a MAHA team had ever won a Sectional Tournament. The team earned an invitation to the Sectional Tournament by winning the Vermont State Amateur Hockey Association Tournament, during a season in which it also won the Saranac Lake and Skip Brush Tournaments.

    Members of the team, all Addison County residents, are Nick Bruch, Colin Ryan, Graham Barlow, Brad Willis, Andrew Myhre, Colin Babcock, Tim Shea, Jr., Steel White, Sawyer McLaughlin, Sawyer Hescock, Trevor Emilo, Nick Leach, Jordan Stearns, Ryan Crowningshield, and Max Longchamp. Team coaches are Tim Shea, Devin McLaughlin, Linn Larson and Mike Morgan.
