    The Vergennes boys played a tough game against the Missisquoi Thunderbirds on Friday night. In the first quarter, the Commodores were able to stay ahead of Missisquoi, aided by two three-pointers from sophomore Josh Carter. The first half ended 11-7, Commodores. In the second quarter, Vergennes continued their lead, finishing out the half 27-22. The third quarter mirrored the first half of the game. The third quarter score was 39-33, Vergennes.

    In the fourth and final quarter, Vergennes increased the gap in scores and sealed their victory. The final score was 64-50, Commodores. This was a tight game the entire way through, both teams played very well. High scorers for Vergennes were junior Jesse Lalumiere with eighteen points and sophomore Josh Carter with sixteen. For the Thunderbirds it was senior Nick Fournier with twenty-five points.
