50 Years And Still Counting

On February 2nd 2017 Linda Lathrop celebrated 50 years “and counting” with the U.S. Postal Service from her familiar surroundings at the Bristol Post Office.  Co-workers, postal customers and friends were only too happy to drop by and offer their best wishes and recognize her half century of service.

Rotary Speech Contest Brings Together Generations

The Vergennes Rotary Mavericks opened up their meeting and hearts to some local teenagers recently to hear their ideas about developing community service and the uses of the Rotary Four Way Test. Each year for the past decade the club has hosted a local speech contest and welcomed students from home schooling and the local high school.

Do you ever stop and wonder what happened to the class couples who started dating in high school or even middle school and were together when graduation occurred? Some attend high school reunions just to find out what happened to those couples while others scoff at the possibility of a high school romance holding on for generations but there is a part in each of us that gets sentimental around special holidays that believe in the school days’ romances.
