Meet Some Mighty Fine Fowl Serama Chickens

Serama Chickens are nicknamed the “Pixie Chick” and are new to Addison County agriculture but ancient when it comes to domesticated fowl. The miniature Serama Chickens originally hail from the Malaysian state of Kelentan and are thought to have originated centuries ago from small chickens that were a gift from the King of Thailand.

Vergennes Lions Had A Busy Winter And Spring

The Vergennes Lions Club has had a very busy winter and spring, donating thousands of dollars to area organizations and individuals.  In order to do this, the club does various raffles and asks area businesses for assistance.  Club President Shanon Atkins said that if it wasn’t for the area businesses we wouldn’t be able to help all those that we are do now.

An after-fire damage assessment will necessitate the owner of Vermont Soapworks on Exchange Street to relocate his company's production operation to a new location about a quarter mile further up the road just off Exchange Street on Industrial Avenue.
