Sharing One Soldier’s Story

American Legion Post # 14 is proud to host the annual Memorial Day Parade in Vergennes, Vermont on Monday, May 26th. The Keynote speaker for the Memorial Day Services will be Michael Wojciechowski. A purple heart recipient and highly decorated soldier,  Wojciechowski served in the Army National Guard from 1986-2012 and did tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan.  He lives with his wife and family in Addison, Vermont and is a member of American Legion Post # 14.  [ more ]

UVM Junior Chosen For Beinecke Graduate Fellowship

University of Vermont junior and poet Alexandria Hall was recently awarded a 2014 Beinecke Scholarship which is one of the most competitive and prestigious graduate fellowships in the United States.  Alex was selected for her promise in humanities, fine arts and social sciences and is one of only twenty Beinecke fellows nationwide and earned $34,000 in funding to pursue her graduate studies.
