    There is nothing ambiguous or indeterminate about William Della Penta. Within five minutes of meeting the 95 year old, you are clear about several things. The glint in his eye has not been dimmed by time nor has his passion for family, country or stating his own opinion. Simply put, Bill, as he is known to generations of family tells it like it is, and openly shares memories of his long life, military service and his 69 year love affair with his wife Rita.

Addison County, The Perfect Place To Get Some Fresh Air

On Monday, July 16, a bus full of children from New York City rolled into the parking lot of the Christian Reformed Church in Vergennes. These children are part of the Fresh Air Fund, and local host families eagerly waited for the 11 children that were being dropped off during this trip. These children will spend at least one week with their host families taking part in activities that they would not usually have easy access too.

Bill James Honored On 101st Birthday

Bill James, still going strong at 101, was honored at his 101st birthday celebration at Rosie’s Restaurant July 5, 2012. On hand to aid in the celebration were his buddies from the Old Farts Club of Bristol and also his many friends from Rosie’s Restaurant, who wouldn’t miss it for the world.
