Sharing Memories With George Smith Of Bristol

   There is a man who lives in a modest house covered in vines in Bristol. In passing him on the street, he may not seem out of the ordinary, but that is not the case. Born on May 26, 1926, George Smith, 85, has had a life full of adventures and accomplishments. George attended Bristol Elementary School, and then went on to attend high school in Bristol as well.

Senior Wrestler Sets The Tone For Underclassmen On The Team

On Monday, April 2nd, the word on the lips of the VUHS wrestling team was Grant. To be more specific it was Geoffrey Grant and the younger members of the team were all hyped up. At the National level Wrestling Tournament in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, senior Geoffrey Grant had made his mark and dropped a challenge for those in the Commodore Wrestling Program.

Local Coach Lauded With 2012 Coaching Award

Peter Quinn’s coaching dates back to 1980 when he started coaching the JV girls’ team at VUHS. While most Addison County residents might first recognize him from his years as a Little League coach in the early 1990’s or his elementary school basketball coaching two years later, the simple fact is Peter Quinn followed his own sons up as they got older and then just never left. Early on that team showed him the power of positive thinking and what true champions were all about. “I was coaching our last VUHS championship team (2001) when they were in eighth grade.
