For thirteen year old Harper Smith, whose favorite pastimes include drawing, reading, hockey, swimming, film production and volunteering, the words are important and a cause she feels strongly about. While her family was getting groceries at the local Hannaford store she and her mom saw the contest entry form to draw designs that reflect the theme of ending hunger in Vermont and how Vermonters work to reach that goal.
