Sharing Memories With Gail Sheldon Exploring A World Of Possibilities

   Gail Sheldon is open and honest in sharing the three events that shaped the direction of her life. The first was the death of her mother when she was three years old and she and her three siblings moving in with her Grammy and Grampy while her father was away fighting World War II. The second was a hand written card left for her by her mother that told her to, “Be a good little girl and always take care of her sister.” The third came during a conversation with her father when he told her to, “Go to college and go out and see the world and experience life.” All three are burned into her memory and shaped the course and the direction of her choices.  [ more ]

Vergennes Union High School Boys' And Girls' State Delegates

The Vergennes American Legion Post #14 will be sponsoring two VUHS delegates to the Green Mountain Boys’ State held June 19-24 at Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, Vermont: Colin Babcock and Ben Parsons. 
    This year the two students who were nominated along with Colin to attend were Julian Hattler and Kyle Darwin but they have previous commitments and are unable to participate. Nick Paquin was first alternate and he too was unable to attend.  Congratulations to all of them.  [ more ]
