A Quick Preview of Spring at Sunset Hill Farm In Cornwall

    Enough of this cold damp weather and the mid-week ice storms.  
    After an endless winter of real Vermont weather that just does not want to let up we thought it was time to take a peek at spring and what lies just around the corner even before those mild sunny spring days arrive.  
    How could we do that?  First a phone call was in order to Sunset Hill Farms Garden and Nursery in West Cornwall where Al and Nancy Edson have been hard at work applying their special brand of “green magic” in the greenhouses.
    Could we sample some of their new crop of plants and hanging baskets “growth in progress?”  They were only too happy to oblige.

Local Healthcare Organizations Team Up To Conduct Benefit Raffle

    Addison County Home Health and Hospice (ACHHH) and Hospice Volunteer Services (HVS) are local  non-profit, independent organizations working together to serve Addison County residents in need of home health and hospice care. They have recently joined forces to put together an exciting community-driven fund raiser to support their programs and services to local residents in need.
   This collaboration, their first major fund raising partnership, is a benefit raffle of a Caribbean Cruise Getaway for Two. The winner will receive a 7-day, Royal Caribbean Cruise for two including air and ground transportation to the port of departure. The winner can choose from a full menu of Caribbean destinations. Along with Accent Travel, the winner can plan an unforgettable vacation getaway.

On March 19, Hannaford Career Center students competed in the Vermont Skills USA Competitions at the Vermont Air Guard base in Burlington.

Garza Search Continues

   The search for and the missing person investigation into the disappearence of Middlebury College freshman student, Nicholas Garza continued as of press-time.
   Several new developments in the ongoing effort to locate the young man missing since February 5th were explained in the following media release prepared by Middlebury Police Chief Tom Hanley on March 20th 2008.
